The year of 2010 already has been a blessing from God. It is amazing to see how God is blessing different areas in our church body. Here is a sampling of what I mean....

    • *We have run over 300 in our weekend worship services for 2010 (that does not include kids).
    • *35 are signed up for the Financial Peace University which begins this week.
    • *25 have taken on the 90 day challenge of tithing.
    • *We have purchased 48 Bibles and have collected another $615.00 thru our coffee fund to purchase more Bibles for the Worship Center this week. (We must like our coffee in Oregon).
    • *The Lord’s Store House pantry has received over $1,000 thru our Thanksgiving offerings and Christmas Eve offerings. This will go directly to feeding the hungry in the Grants Pass area!
    • *You provided over 20 Angel Tree gifts to needy kids in our immediate area this Christmas.
    • *The Youth ministry passed out a dozen care bags to the homeless in Grants Pass.
    • *The baptistry changing room remodel is under construction and paid for!
    • *You have given $7,935 for a new baptistry and remodel of the stage.
    • *God allowed our church pipes to freeze and flood some areas. The good news is zero deductible! There will be a total ceiling remodel in the sanctuary and new tile for the coffee area and Kids ministry area. There will also be major repairs throughout the building. All of these projects will be completed by Easter. (At least that is what I would like to see...)  God has proven once again that: “...all things work for the good to those who love Him...”
    • *Our first Seniors breakfast will be January 21  at 8:00 a.m. Jack notified me that he is expecting up to 70+ people.
    • *Our new web site has been launched.

    Youth:

    • *17 students have signed up for Winter Camp - a new record!
    • *Over $500.00 was given for camp scholarships. Redwood is investing in the future of the church.
    • *Art Yokum is now working 30 hours a week here at Redwood Christian as our Youth Pastor.  He is now officially a full time student doing online classes at Dallas Christian College. We are proud of Art’s willingness to make it a goal in his life to graduate in 4 more semesters. God is using Art in our youth ministry!

I am amazed at how God is blessing Redwood Christian Church so we can be a blessing to our community. Hold on... God is just beginning!
